The Peer Coaching Program at DSP&S is an academic support service we provide for our disabled students, where we emphasize Peer-To-Student support. We have university students who previously have taken community college level courses and are volunteering as Peer Coaches at American River College, in addition to our very own ARC students who have received an A in the subject they are coaching. Our Peer Coaches assist our DSP&S students to navigate course materials, understand content, and support the student in organizing their materials. Peer Coaches also help to inform students of the Learning Resource Center and other tutoring labs on campus.
