Loudoun School for the Gifted
Ideal Schools High School opened in 2008 as the first and only
co-educational independent high school in Loudoun County, Virginia. Dr.
Deep Sran founded the school after 15 years of research on and practice
in how to improve formal education, as an attorney, academic researcher,
college and graduate school instructor, high school teacher, and high
school administrator. In 2012, the school added grades 6 through 8 and
was renamed Loudoun School for the Gifted, to reflect the school's focus
and academic program.
This school exists to show how much better school can be, and to
serve as an incubator for new ideas and practices in secondary
education. Our goal is, simply, to offer the finest education possible,
and to continue to innovate and to improve until we meet our own very
high standards for what is possible in secondary education.
President: Deep Sran
