CAOLA started in 2009 as a way to help districts offer quality and cost effective online learning options to students. Our goal was to help schools combat the costs of students attending cyber charter schools as well as offer more course selections. The CAOLA program originally had thirteen school districts as members. CAOLA now has over 100 districts and school in the program, making it the largest consortium of online learning in the state of Pennsylvania.
